Since 1999, Michael S. Futrell (B.S., 1988, LSU; J.D., 1991, LSU Law School) has played an integral role at Connick and Connick, L.L.C. in advocacy, litigation, and maintaining and developing client relationships. Mr. Futrell has tried over 125 jury trials and more than 50 judge trials throughout his career.
Mr. Futrell has represented the Parish of Jefferson, the State of Louisiana, as well as numerous insurance companies and their insureds in construction law disputes, general liability matters, commercial auto liability cases, premise liability suits, and other issues. He is admitted to practice law before the Louisiana Supreme Court and all state courts in Louisiana as well as the United States Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana. From 1992-1996, he served as an Assistant District Attorney for Orleans Parish, and from 1997-1999, and again from 2008-2017, Mr. Futrell served as an Assistant District Attorney for Jefferson Parish. Mr. Futrell is honored to have been named a Top Lawyer by New Orleans Magazine, and has a AV Preeminent rating with Martindale-Hubbell, which is received for exhibiting the highest level of professional excellence.
